The rear fender has one small ding in it and the front fender is bent on the bottom right. I believe it is a 2004 because there is a 2004 sticker on it from a bike shop from when they got it. The serial number on this bicycle reads HR01306. Was told that it is new and has never been ridden before. If you are a collector and dont plan to ride the bike it is ready for display in my opinion but if you are going to ride it then you may need to make some adjustments like baĠ4-07 Schwinn Sting-Ray"Pea Picker" Complete Reproduction Bicycle 20" Boys Bike. The pedals show wear and the 4 reflectors are missing and I believe they are the only thing missing from the bike. Probably from skidding.Other than to wipe it down I did not touch the frame and it does show wear and has some scrapes and scratches and one small dent in the rear fender. The rear tire is probably a replacement and is solid overall with one worn area. The front tire may be original as it is pretty worn down but it still holds air. The front tire is a Schwinn Superior and the rear tire has no name on it. The front and rear shock absorbers work fine. The seat is in decent condition as you will see in the pictures but does have some cracks. The chain is not rusty and I sprayed it with WD-40. Mainly I used a fine steel wool to shine up the chrome which was in very nice shape and I then cleaned any grease and grime from the axles and chain. This bike is not restored but I did go through it and did a nice cleaning.
There is even some provenance here as the bike still has the sticker on it showing the name and address of where it was bought in New Hampshire.The Schwinn decals on the top bar are still. All the Schwinn logo's are still on the bike. I called Schwinn and they said it was made in Sept. The bike was purchased in Manchester New Hampshire and the serial# is JG 069569. He owned the cotton picker which I also have listed and his brother owned the pea picker. I acquired this bike from the original owner who had it for 42 years. I have here a truly rare find as these Schwinn Sting Ray Pea Picker coaster bikes were only made in 1968-1973 so to find one that is all original and in this shape is super rare! Rust is at an absolute minimum as you can see in the pictures and the the bike was always kept under cover and clearly taken care of.
